We at Vantage Quest are pleased to announce the opening of Coyote Oaks on Aug. 11, 2000. Coyote Oaks is a place for transformations. Its roots run deep like the
native grass that surrounds it. The idea is old, the oaks are new, and the
coyotes have always been here. Located in the Smoky Hills of Central Kansas, Coyote Oaks is a primitive
gathering ground for personal growth and creativity development through holistic
workshops, psycho-spiritual seminars, and psychotherapeutic work. The
grounds include an organic orchard and gardens, two ponds, campsites, access to
nearby lodging, and some of the best sunsets and sunrises you'll see in your
life. In the coming years we will add a labyrinth for walking meditation,
a vineyard, and eventually some small cabins and a conference center. It
is a creative work in progress. I
invite you to be a part of it. Fri. Aug. 11th. at
7:00 PM, we will hold our opening celebration.
We hope those of you near us here in Kansas will come and join us and ask
the rest of you to hold us in your positive thoughts as we begin this extension
of our work. Following the opening
celebration we will begin our first workshop “Healthy Moves:
Stress management with Tai Chi’ Ch’uan.” Friday evening will focus on Qigong breath work and Chinese healing systems. The evening will conclude with viewing the year’s best
meteor shower away from city lights and group drumming. Saturday will be an all day intensive course in Tai Chi with
breaks as needed for the (unfortunate) heat.
Perhaps we will all cool off with a float on the pond.
Randy Bane from Health Strategies - Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS
is the instructor for this workshop. The
cost for the workshop is $75.00 or $5.00 for those wishing to attend Friday
Evening’s event only. You may
enroll on our website at http://www.vantagequest.org/Coyote_Oaks/,
or give us a call for reservations and travel directions.
We look forward to meeting you. That’s it for this month. “Why not do some dreamin” Carlisle |
