December 1997
Holiday Greetings Creators;
Here in America the Christmas season is upon us with all its wonder, and its stress.
Since this list now extends into many countries where holidays, religious beliefs and
ceremonies are different, I wish for all of you the blessings of your faith and family.
This season gives us the opportunity to re-experience the wonder of creating. In the
eyes of children we see excitement, joy, and belief without question. We hear
expressions of hope with no forethought, and compassion void of complacency. It is a
time we give our all from whatever great or small we have received. It is a time
when we create relationships and memories for a lifetime. What if during this season
we performed each act "as if" it was a gift, "as if" each gift would
change a world. What if we accepted our role as Elf in the Supreme Creator's
workshop and performed each act "as if." What if.......?
News from this Elf's corner of the Workshop.
First I apologize for getting this "approximately" monthly newsletter out much
latter than it should be. Due to the delay, I will wait until the next issue to
include comments and suggestions about using VQ. It seems that over the Thanksgiving
holiday the mail server at out ISP went down. We lost all the guest book registrations
between Wed. night 11/26 until Sun. night 11/ 30. This means that if you, or a
friend, registered for this months drawing during that time we didn't get it. I'm
very sorry but that's the nature of cyberspace sometimes. Please pass this message
on to your friends if you know they entered didn't get this newsletter. It has taken
sometime to reconstruct this list. I thank the many of you who have told friends about us
and posted us in various places. An Elf's job is never done, and his gratitude
remains boundless.
This event precipitated my decision to change our website host. The new site is up
and running. As soon as the wizards at InterNic make the necessary changes somewhere
out there in cyberspace you will be automatically redirected to the new server. I am
pleased to say that the Guest Book, and Order pages on the new site will be secure pages
so you can submit information more safely.
This Elf is also in the process of setting up a forum on that site to replace the
infrequently used Assembly we now offer. The new forum will be located on our site
and won't require you to fill out forms and remember passwords. It should be easy to
use and I hope you will all use it to exchange your thoughts, questions, and suggestions
about using Vantage Quest, and the articles in Thoughts Beneath The Trees or similar
subjects. It will be there soon, and as useful as you make it.
Elfin correction.
Last issue Karen Berggren generously shared her comments. (I will be including more of her
excellent feedback in the next issue.) However, I stated the title of her soon to be
released book incorrectly. The correct title is "Circle of Shaman."
You can find out more at her website http://www.tiac.net/users/newdream.
Now, this Elf can get out of the "reindeer house."
An Elf's Request.
I am in the process of formulating a new brochure for VQ. I would appreciate any
comments from you users out there that I can include in the printed material, on the site,
or in this newsletter - testimonials as it were. I will include the comments with or
without your name as you request. I would most surely appreciate it.
Elfin Duties.
Now for the winners! It IS the Holiday spirit NOW. So Elf
"McMahan" has declared 4 winners in celebration. (There just may be a
surprise next month too.)

Finally, the Elf's Newsletter administration;
I still do this the old fashioned way -- by hand -- learning as I go. The list
continues to grow dramatically so I apologize if you get two copies of, or if you don't
want to receive our newsletter. Just send me a note and I will groom the list.
As I've said, I want to build a community of creative folks, not make "email
enemies."
For those who do not know, I hold a drawing from the previous months Guest Book entries
about the 1st. of each month. The winner receives a free copy of our latest
release. YES, you can enter again each month, and many of you have, but ONCE per
month only. Please let me know in the comments that you're already on this mailing so I
don't send you multiple copies of this newsletter.
That's it for this time folks. Thanks as always for you interest.
May you bask in the season's light of love and joy.
"Why not do some dreamin, you're not afraid to try."
Till next time, with Elfin regard......
An Elf
